About

Different subjects. One method.

Gnomon is the umbrella for a body of work that crosses entrepreneurship, technology, decision-making, leadership, writing, faith, and community.
  1. 1Identify the real problem.
  2. 2Understand what matters.
  3. 3Challenge assumptions.
  4. 4Develop something useful.
  5. 5Evaluate whether it remains aligned with its purpose.

How the work connects

A map of the work, by theme

Ventures, books, frameworks, and community work grouped by the question each one addresses.

Venture Book Framework Community
  1. 01

    Seeing clearly

How do we understand what is actually happening?

The foundation the other areas draw on: judgment, context, and sound decisions.

  2. 02

    Leading and operating well

How do organizations decide and run better?

Discernment applied to leadership, and practical tools for everyday operational problems.

  3. 03

    Preserving stories and culture

How do we keep what is meaningful visible and connected?

Technology that links objects, places, and communities to their stories.

  4. 04

    Remaining aligned with Jesus

If Jesus is our standard, how do we lead and decide?

An explicitly Christian path that starts from a chosen foundation and continues the Discernment questions.

  5. 05

    Serving community

Where can we support work that matters?

Support for organizations whose purpose aligns with what Gnomon values.

The themes overlap on purpose: Discernment informs the leadership and faith work, and the same habit of seeing clearly shapes which ventures get built and which causes get support.

Kevin Brady

Entrepreneur · Author · Builder · Problem solver · Organizational leader

Kevin Brady is an entrepreneur, author, and problem solver whose work has moved across logistics, technology, automotive culture, decision-making, leadership, and faith. The subjects vary, but the method is consistent: understand the real problem, question assumptions, develop a practical solution, and measure whether it actually works.

Gnomon LLC serves as the umbrella for that work.

Background

Kevin Brady is an entrepreneur, author, and community supporter based in the Houston area. His perspective on leadership grew through practical experience—from early work in a gas station and managing an auto parts store to representing engine components for Dana Corporation and building a logistics business. Those experiences placed him close to customers, employees, and operational challenges, where decisions had tangible consequences and good ideas had to work in practice.

Brady built Satellite Logistics Group, known for its Kegspediter® keg-return logistics services, around solving a specialized problem for the beverage industry. The business brought together logistics, technology, and predictive capabilities to help customers recover and manage valuable assets. His entrepreneurial work earned regional recognition through the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2004. Following a private-equity recapitalization in 2010, the company was sold to JF Hillebrand in 2013.

His interests extend beyond business into faith, philanthropy, and community life. Through the Brady Charity Foundation and his involvement in the Corvette community, he has supported education, Texas EquuSearch, and the National Corvette Museum. His automotive initiatives, including AutoFame, reflect an interest in connecting people through their vehicles, personal stories, and shared experiences. Across these endeavors, he returns to questions about purpose: why an organization exists, whom it serves, and whether its activities advance that mission.

These experiences inform his writing on discernment, leadership, and alignment. His Discernment work helps readers strengthen judgment and make deliberate choices within their own values and purposes. His Jesus-centered work begins with an explicitly Christian foundation, examining the Gospel accounts to understand how Jesus responded to different circumstances while remaining aligned with His mission and the Father's purpose. Together, these connected bodies of work explore a question that reaches across business, faith, technology, and everyday life: How do we see clearly, choose wisely, and remain aligned with what matters most?
